A PMO Manager is required by a multinational IT Services business to lead their PMO team on a permanent basis. The successful PMO Manager will have experience building and managing a PMO function, identifying core issues within the PMO and developing a strategy to drive excellence through the Projects team. Ideally, the PMO Manager will have experience of working within a Technology and IT Services business.

Responsibilities:

  • Define and build the PMO function from scratch
  • Help define and ensure the successful implementation of the PMO’s strategy, responsibilities, services and deliverables
  • Lead the improvement of project tracking and monitoring
  • Coordinate project reporting and collate inputs to project governance and management meetings
  • Drive the Change Control Process and Change Controls within Project Team
  • Working closely with Project Managers and Technical Project Managers in the team
  • Proactively managing risks and issues

To be considered we are looking for:

  • A confident, experienced PMO Manager who has built the PMO function from scratch within an IT Services business
  • Prince 2 Practitioner certification
  • Certification in APMP, ITIL Foundation or Six Sigma desirable
  • Proven experience successfully managing various projects simultaneously
  • Good understanding of IT concepts and processes
  • Able to lead others  
  • Excellent organisational skills – ability to prioritise tasks and maintain documentation
  • Highly developed communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Able to challenge the current way of working and confidently implement improvements to processes 
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to juggle multiple competing priorities and focus on critical activity

    • Test the application at its limits and boundaries to identify potential issues with data validation, input handling, and system behaviour.
    • Verify the accuracy and integrity of data processing, storage, and retrieval within the application.
    • Test interactions between different components or modules to ensure proper communication and functioning within the application.
    • Collaborate with end-users or stakeholders to perform UAT and ensure that the software meets business requirements and user expectations.

    Skills and Experience:
    SC Clearance is highly desirable for this role
    • Minimum of 5 years of related experience in functional testing and software development.
    • Strong knowledge of software development techniques, including frameworks such as Angular.
    • Proven experience in UAT and QAT environments
    • Familiarity with database concepts and hands-on experience with databases.
    • Knowledge of Dorado or other mainframe technologies.

As a member of the team, you will work alongside highly driven experts, providing client-side support and contributing to the development of innovative solutions.

    We are seeking a talented individual who will be responsible for providing technical expertise, project management, and mentoring to junior engineers and service desk team members. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful delivery of solutions, maintaining strong client relationships, and identifying improvements for customer environments. Additionally, you will be involved in the installation, configuration, and support of cloud environments, as well as designing and managing Firewall and security systems.

    Responsibilities:

    • Act as an escalation point for VIP customers and stakeholders
