Job Description:
A global client is seeking an experienced Front-End Developer to assist in making their web UI ADA/WCAG compliant. Their product is a comprehensive system for viewing and managing CCTV cameras, featuring video walls, device management, alarms, and analytics. The UI is a large multi-module Vue3 and TypeScript project, recently migrated from Vue2. It consists mostly of custom components utilizing the options API, with several Vuex modules and a growing number of Pinia stores. The UI encompasses various features, with a significant emphasis on video performance, custom-rendered maps, and configuration pages. Their web team comprises 10 engineers, all based in the UK and working semi-remotely.

Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the web development team to assess and enhance UI accessibility.
  • Implement ADA/WCAG guidelines to ensure compliance.
  • Conduct audits and testing to identify accessibility issues and propose solutions.
  • Provide guidance and training to team members on accessibility best practices.

Requirements:
  • Proficiency in Vue with experience using Vue3.
  • Familiarity with accessibility guidelines and knowledge of ADA/WCAG standards.
  • Solid understanding of TypeScript.
  • Experience working with large-scale Vue projects and custom components.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a semi-remote team environment.

    Requirements:

     

    • experience working with one or more of the following: F5, Gigamon, or Dynatrace.
    • or lapsed DV Clearance is mandatory.
