As a Technical Writing Author, you will bridge the gap between our detailed technical design and external technical audiences. Your primary responsibilities will include:
Key Responsibilities:
Content Simplification: Translate complex low-level design content into clear, concise, and simple grammar without compromising accuracy.
Documentation Review: Collaborate with technical teams to understand the intricacies of various network-type designs and gather comprehensive information.
Audience Analysis: Identify the specific needs and expectations of business and regulatory audiences to tailor content accordingly.
Clarity Enhancement: Use various techniques, such as visual aids, diagrams, and plain language, to improve content clarity while ensuring the exclusion of sensitive information.
Compliance: Ensure that simplified content complies with Vodafone security standards and internal Voice Core technical guidelines.
Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough reviews and editing to maintain the highest quality of documentation.
Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional technical and compliance teams to gather information and insights.
Maintenance: Keep documentation up to date with any changes or updates to the low-level system designs.
Qualifications:
To excel in this role, you should have:
Proven experience in technical writing, particularly in translating complex technical concepts into simplified language (Oxford standard English grammar).
A strong understanding of telco industry-specific low-level system design principles and documentation.
Exceptional writing, editing, and communication skills.
Proficiency in using tools and software for technical documentation.
