Senior DevOps Engineer

AWS, Python, SDLC

 

A leading, global IT and digital transformation consultancy is looking for a highly experienced DevOps Engineer to join their global team on a permanent basis. In this role, the successful candidate will be a leader throughout the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), working with multiple teams and clients. You will be a subject matter expert and utilize your extensive technical expertise to lead customers through digital transformations, in delivering end-to-end applications and infrastructure solutions.

 

 

Skills and Experience:

 

  • 8+ years of experience as a technical specialist, working with Azure and/or AWS.
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience of programming in languages such as Python, Ruby, Go, Swift, Java, .Net, C++ or similar object-oriented language.
  • Strong presentation, verbal communication and written communications skills, with the ability to communicate to technical and non-technical teams effectively
  • Ability to lead effectively across organizations and engagements, experience from a professional services organization a plus.
  • Experience with architecting and automating cloud native technologies, deploying applications, and provisioning infrastructure.
  • Experience implementing and designing cloud native security concepts, DevSecOps or MLOps.
  • Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code, using CloudFormation, Terraform, or other tools.
  • Experience architecting cloud native CI/CD workflows and tools, such as Jenkins, Bamboo, TeamCity, Code Deploy and/or GitLab.
  • Experience with monitoring and log aggregating frameworks such as Kafka, Logstash, Splunk, ElastiSearch, and Kibana.
  • Experience with Chef, Puppet, Salt, or Ansible in production environments.
