IT Field Engineer
Rate: €47.50 per hour/€380.00 per day
Location: On site - Hoboken & Olen (near Antwerp)
Must have own vehicle and valid licence. (Travel expenses will not be covered)
Working hours: 08:00 and 16:30. No overtime, no weekend work
Languages: Dutch (fluent) and English (good)
Duration: 6 months+

Role:
  • Provides support for software, hardware and networking support for desktops, laptops and servers.
  • Provides maintenance and support on Unisys legacy products.
  • May Provide Support for Enterprise Products
  • Performs disk replacement on enterprise storage products.
  • Installs and maintains PCs and associated software, networks, servers and peripherals.
  • Supports network products from operational and maintenance perspectives.
  • Performs installs, moves, adds and changes as required.
  • Tests and certifies PCs, networks, servers and client approved applications.
  • Provides follow-up on problems or escalation.
  • Maintains a high degree of professionalism in actions, demeanour and dress.
  • Ensures customer satisfaction throughout the service delivery transaction.
  • Ensures client specific Service Level Agreements are met and incident and request tickets are updated accordingly within the ticketing system.

Requirements:
  • High school degree required.IT knowledge equivalent to at least 2 years of technical institutes, polytechnic or technical school with applicable field service and/or other related technical experience

  • A least 6 months to 1-year hands on technical experience
  • Experience with Troubleshooting software and hardware problems.
  • Ability to test and certify PC, networks, servers and client /Unisys approved software applications and associated peripherals.
  • Excellent analytical and client communication skills

    Essential Criteria:
    • Minimum 2+ years’ service and installation experience (ideally within AV, but experience with Smart Home/ general Electrical Installation, kiosks, cash machines etc. will be considered)
    • Full UK driving license
    • Ability to pass a DBS check
    • A good level of English – spoken and written
    • Good timekeeping, reliability, and a professional manner
    • The ability to be flexible within a working week as shifts can change between days and nights
    • Ability to manage your own workload
    • Great communication skills
