Linux & Windows System Administrator

£350.00 - £400.00 per day outside IR35, 6 months initially, Remote

A global managed service provider is seeking an experienced Linux & Windows System Administrator to work with their end client's OSS Operations team to fulfil patch management and hardening of Linux and Windows OSS Servers, as part of a Cyber Security Compliance project. The OSS team is based in Dublin, but remote working from UK is acceptable.

Project requirements and experience:

• Administration of Linux and Windows Servers
• Experience in applying patches and patch bundles
• Good team player and communicator, who can liaise with various OSS vendors to confirm patch releases
• Carry out Documentation of Baseline Standard Configuration and updates - Patch updates, System updates, Packages, Memory, Storage, System versions, etc.
• General server administration skills, including: Installation, Testing, Tuning, Upgrading, Loading system patches, Troubleshooting and Managing through Virtual Machines (VMware Workstation) and VMware ESXi Servers
• Familiar with LDAP and IDM administration
• Knowledge of networking (TCP/IP)
• Familiar with database administration
