Infrastructure Designer

£450.00 per day inside IR35 - Remote - initially 2 months

As an Infrastructure Designer, you will be integral to the delivery of many client projects, working with Tier 1 global telecommunication organisations.

You will have responsibility for gathering requirements from stakeholders, assessing business impacts from proposed infrastructure changes, and creating/tailoring designs accordingly.

Ideally, you'll have experience with some of the following:

• Knowledge of the telecommunications business and experience of designing Data Centre and Enterprise networks
• Developing and aligning to Enterprise network strategies
• Experience of translating business requirements into detailed DC and network requirements
• Familiarity with all parts of the project life cycle from project scoping to delivery and implementation
• Communicating technical issues and solutions on different (management) levels
• Aligning and reviewing the detailed design(s) in cooperation with suppliers on behalf of our clients
• Experience presenting/defending changes in CAB meetings

We expect knowledge/experience of some of the following areas:

• An understanding of infrastructure and the impact of network changes
• Experience in HLD and LLDs
• Ability to discover and understand traditional/Legacy setup and new technologies
• Excellent verbal and communication skills across all levels of stakeholders
• Analysing technical debt

Infrastructure:

• Ideally a telco or large enterprise/service provider background
• Active Directory and Identity Management for both Windows and Linux
• Understanding of authentication in large scale enterprise environments
• OS skills - Windows and Linux
• Knowledge of public and private cloud (AWS/Azure, GCP, VPCs, network connectivity)
