Job description

Our client is currently seeking a Project Manager with experience of PACS implementation in an NHS setting. 

The contract will be for a 12 month period paying £300 per day and will fall inside of IR35. 

The PACS Implementation Specialist Project Manager is expected to manage the full implementation of the Trust’s newly procured PACS system, from project kick off through to formal transition into BAU.  This includes provision and application of specialist PACS implementation skills to successfully deliver the project to Trust requirements within agreed quality, budgetary and time tolerances; and expert project management skills, working with the Head of ICT Programmes to ensure that the PACS implementation adheres to the Trust’s recognised project based structure and methodology, based upon the Prince 2 project management methodology.  The role will cover:

  • Working flexibly in accordance with the requirements of the project and its stakeholders
  • Lead and be responsible for all aspects of the complete project lifecycle, including management of the human and financial resources allocated to the project
  • Supporting SMEs in the management of their PACS implementation related deliverables, providing expert guidance to the local manager, as required
  • Take personal responsibility for the work packages defined for delivery as part of a project
  • Complex process mapping
  • Understanding of demand and capacity principles so that business changes are properly planned and resourced.
  • Responsibility for managing conflict and emotional situations that may arise due to the project implementation / related changes
  • Responsibility for the creation and the quality of documentation required of each project stage under the PRINCE2 definition of documentation
  • Communicating clearly, both written and verbally on project progress
