Technology Change Lead

£53,000 per annum - 18-month fixed term contract - Remote/Occasional travel to Essex

A public sector client is seeking an experienced Technology and Adoption Lead to deliver technical transformation across the business.

This role is an initial 18-month fixed-term contract that offers remote working.

Purpose of the Role:

  • The Technology Adoption and Change Project Manager will deliver technical transformation across the business, driving efficiency and quantifiable improvements through the take up of technology solutions.
  • As part of the IT department, you will work to drive faster adoption, higher ultimate utilisation and greater proficiency of the IT and technology available.
  • You will work across the organisation to build and maintain strong relationships, build sponsorship; create and deliver change plans; driving timely and targeted execution of change activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To build the business understanding of the technology estate, change methodology and subsequent transformation opportunities
  • Drive service improvement through the delivery of effective interventions, initiatives and change activities that provide tangible outcomes.
  • To increase the adoption and use of Technology across the business, uplifting digital literacy across the business through effective change programmes via an approved methodology (eg ADKAR)
  • To assist in the development of effective sponsorship and collaboration across service areas with other senior managers in order to generate efficiencies and create synergies wherever possible
  • Create, prepare and deliver reports, plans, briefings, presentations and other artefacts to facilitate the technological transformation journey
  • To perform change activities that increase the adoption of technology, empower the workforce and increase digital literacy and self service across the organisation.
  • To identify and overcome barriers to successful change, including managing resistance and mitigating change risks and issues
  • To work positively and proactively with all departments, Members and stakeholders in developing, implementing and maintaining an organisational working culture that embraces and engages with ICT to deliver business objectives
  • To Work with Sponsors, to develop their understanding of change management, empowerment and coaching
  • To deliver informal training sessions that increase the understanding, capability and skills of colleagues to use and adopt technology
  • Monitor the effectiveness of change enablement activities including communication and training, using insights to drive continuous improvement

    • Full UK driving license
    • Ability to pass a DBS check
    • A good level of English – spoken and written
    • Good timekeeping, reliability, and a professional manner
    • The ability to be flexible within a working week as shifts can change between days and nights
    • Ability to manage your own workload
    • Great communication skills

    Application Support Specialist

    Our public sector client is looking for an experienced Application Support Specialist to join their team on a permanent basis.  This role will be responsible for both BAU (system stability, maintenance and enhancements) for a portfolio of Applications, as well as carrying out project work as a technical specialist.

    The ideal candidate will have a broad range of experience in a similar role, will have extensive experience with key applications (Capita One/ Mosaic / SQL Server), and have experience dealing with a wide range of users and stakeholders.
    This role is 99% remote, with 1x monthly/bi-monthly visits to site in Essex.  Will suit a self-starter, who is used to working in a fast paced environment.

    Responsibilities:
    • Responsible for system stability, maintenance and enhancements across key applications (Capita One/Capita Database, SQL Server)
    • Project Support duties, acting as a lead technical specialist
    • Act as an escalation point for all queries and take the lead on implementations of new functionality
    • Continuously evaluate and recommend system enhancements to existing processes

    Key skills and Experience
    • 3-5 years experience with Capita One Software (or Mosaic)
    • SQL Server Experience (or Oracle)
    • Experience working in an Azure environment
    • Experience working within a local authority/education environment is highly desirable

    Salary range: £41,496 - £47,573
    Remote, with 1x monthly/b-monthly visits to site in Essex

    £220.00 per day inside IR35

    Desktop Field Engineer

    £220.00 per day inside IR35 - 6 months initially - Central Manchester (3 days per week)/South Manchester (2 days per week)

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Provide support for software, hardware, and networking support for desktops, laptops, and Servers
    • Provide maintenance and support on Legacy products
    • May provide support for Enterprise Products
    • Perform disk replacement on enterprise storage products
    • Install and maintain PCs and associated software, networks, Servers, and peripherals
    • Support network products from operational and maintenance perspectives
    • Perform installs, moves, adds, and changes as required

    • Knowledgeable in Servers, Microsoft/Linux/Unix applications, network protocol, internetworking, and configuration, and possess advanced PC support capability.
    • Ability to test and certify PC, networks, Servers, and client/Unisys approved software applications and associated peripherals
    • Knowledge of client-specific internal procedures and service delivery requirements
    • Excellent analytical and client communication skills
    • Client and/or governmental clearance may be required
    • Microsoft Server Certified Professional Certification or suitable experience in server handling/break fix
    • Police or criminal background verification may be required
