Junior Technical Engineer

£27-33k per annum


A global managed service provider is looking for a Junior technical engineer to join their team on a permanent basis. As the Technical engineer you will undertake technical delivery tasks contributing to the wider goals and outcomes of a project being worked on. The right candidate will primarily be undertaking physical audits of Data Centres and other client hosted hardware locations, collating data and presenting it back to the project team for ingest and analysis to the clients Cloud migration tooling application.

Key Responsibilities:

The Technical Engineer may also on occasion be involved in executing technical activities across a project lifecycle, including:

  • Deploying and managing the operation of infrastructure discovery tooling
  • Operating migration tooling, e.g. V2V/P2V tools, data migration tools


Technical Engineers will work as part of a delivery team and be directed by senior delivery resources, as well as having opportunity to work under their own initiative, and present their ideas and opinions on efficient and effective technical task implementation.

Key Skills:

Hands on experience as a technical implementation engineer or operator.


Ability to work as part of a team, as well as applying own initiative to task execution and problem solving.


Understand the importance of meeting project and customer timelines/deadlines.


Strong verbal and written communication skills.


  • Cloud/Data Centre Technical skills such as:
  • Compute
  • Storage
  • Networking
  • Discovery tooling
  • Excel skills



  • 1+ years experience in an engineering environment, experience of undertaking DC audits,


  • Relevant current technical certifications e.g. VCP, CCNA etc. are a plus.

    £215 per day (37.5 hour working week).
    We are currently seeking a experienced Risk Informatics Manager to join our client on an initial 3 month contract. Remote working options available. 
    Please note this role will fall inside the scope of IR35 and will be paid at a daily rate of £215 (based on a 37.5 hour working week). 

    Duties within the role will include: 
    To develop Datix and patient safety information systems, to ensure the Trust has an effective, accurate reporting system that supports oversight and assurance with regard to patient safety. The system is needed to meet the increasing demands of the organisation and to support data quality, oversight and quality improvement programmes and sustainable change.

    To develop systems, dashboards and reporting mechanisms to support regular and periodic assurance reports to divisions and onward to Trust Board.

    To continually scope good practice in the development and use of patient safety systems.
    To develop and deliver patient safety system training across the Trust.
