Desktop Support Engineer - Financial Services £260.00 per day inside IR35, 3 months initially, Central London 5 days per week Start Date: December 2023
A global managed service provider is seeking an experienced 2nd line desktop engineer to work on-site with their financial services end client to provide exceptional support and service to their users. This role is deemed inside IR35 and doesn\'t offer remote working.
To provide 1st/2nd/occasional 3rd line technical support for client sites via a combination of deskside, phone and remote
To provide a high level of internal customer care
To ensure calls are logged in the helpdesk system and resolved in a timely manner
Work with third-party IT provider(s) and monitor and maintain on-site networks, Servers and systems
To support the external IT service supplier to ensure their services are configured and operate effectively on the network
Support DR and Business continuity including but not limited to planning, supporting users and infrastructure, working with third parties, remediating issues etc.
Support, maintain and monitor Cyber security including but not limited to patching, incidents, software monitoring, application monitoring, Assessments, audits etc.
Previous IT support experience minimum 5 years
1st/2nd and occasional 3rd line support
Good knowledge of Microsoft technologies
Microsoft Exchange and Office 365 administration
Windows operating systems
Citrix Xennap Administration
Multifactor Administration (2FA)
Email and web security management
Secure print management
Excellent communication skills
Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve
Ability to work to tight deadlines
Work effectively under pressure
Able to communicate efficiently with 3rd party suppliers
